To use the slide and diving well, patrons must be able to:
Any swimmer that has not passed the swim test must be accompanied by an adult in the deep end. Adult should remain either on the side of the pool or in the water. Any child wearing flotation devices must have an adult within arms length at all times.
Any patron (including adults) may be given a swim test by the lifeguards to confirm they can use the deep end. This is at the lifeguard’s discretion.
Children aged 12 and older whom the lifeguards deem necessary will be tested. This includes guests.
**A 10 year old may attend alone, ONLY IF, they have passed the swim test and the swim test log book is signed by their own parent or guardian.**
Children under 12 will be tested. Parents/guardians must sign to acknowledge receipt of the test.
Results of the Swim Test will be kept in the Front Office in the log book.
Results are then transferred to the online system. At check-in, the lifeguards will see a swimmer symbol behind each child’s name that has passed the test.
Tests will not be given on demand. Lifeguards will administer swim tests when their work demands permit. If there are only 3 guards on shift and policy requires two guards in the stands, the guard in the office cannot administer the test. On weekends and during prime season hours, 1pm-6pm are the ideal time to have a test.
If you are bringing guests, please make sure they are tested and take into consideration need for testing.
Bracelets
Swimmers under 12 will be given a silicone wristband to wear for the season. This designates them as passing the Swim Test easily to the lifeguards on duties.
If a swimmer forgets their bracelet, they may request a temporary one at the front desk. The lifeguard will take the child’s name. The bracelet should be returned upon leaving. If the bracelet is not returned within 3 days, the Members account will be charged $4.
If a swimmer loses their bracelet, they may request a new one. The Members account will be charged $4 for the replacement.
